Kanab

Kanab will always hold a special place in my heart. It will always be home, it will always be a place of fond memories good and bad. We are in Kanab for Christmas and it's been nice to just relax and enjoy some time with my parents. This is the first year in along time that all my brothers and their families won't be here for Christmas. So that just leaves Wain and I here and then my brother Justin and his family that live in Kanab here for Christmas. Even though it will be a quiet Christmas I'm looking forward to it. It's nice to have my parents attention and to be able to spend time with them.
Ever since I have returned home from my mission and got married I don't come home to see friends I come home to see family. It's funny how priorities change and how you thought your friends would always be your friends. But that is NOT the case a lot of the times. I'm glad I get to spend Christmas with the people that I know love me and accept me for who I am, and that I love.
Also today is 4 years since I have returned home from my mission. Where did the time go? It seriously has gone so fast. Not a day goes by that I don't think about Brasil and the people. I'm thankful that I served a mission it has been a blessing in more ways than I can count.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, and that we all my remember why we celebrate. I'm thankful Heavenly Father that sent his Son to die for me, I'm thankful for the relationship that I have with my Savior and that He knows me personally and that because of Him I can be forgiven for everything that I do wrong. I'm thankful that I get to celebrate his life and just not during this Christmas Season but always.
