Day 13 of being Thankful
Today I'm thankful for the priesthood. I have always been fortunite enough to have the priesthood in my home. There were only a few times that I was without it, and that was when I was in college and on my mission. But it was never to far away for me to ask someone that I new for a blessing. I'm thankful for growing up in home where my father honored his priesthood. I remember growing up and every year before we started school my father would give all of us kids a fathers blessing. It was something I look forward to and needed. I also rememeber while I was my mission my companion and I were robbed. There was knife involved in this robby where the rober put the knife into my stomach. I was very shaken up but no hurt. The elders came to our area to make sure we were ok and to give us blessings of comfort. We were not alloweed to go back to that part of the town. I was always paranoid that something else was going to happen a transfer later this mission president took us out of that city but I ended up going back for my last transfer or mission. It wasn't as bad the second time around :) I am now married and I'm thankful for a husband that honors his priesthood and that I don't have to go far when I need a blessing. I'm thankful for the spirit it brings into our home. I'm thankful for my brothers who have lived up to their priesthood responsibilities. I'm thankful that no matter where I go there will always be someone that I can count on that holds the priesthood.
