What a wonderful time of the year it is. I LOVE Christmas but most of all I love celebrating the reason of why we celebrate this holiday. I have such a love an amazing testimony of my savior. I don't get to share it is often as I want to and that I should. I'm so eternity grateful for my Savor who took it upon himself to atone for my sins. I think of all the things I have gone through and that I have done wrong and the Savior NEVER leaves me. I'm so thankful to know that I can be forgiven and that I can forgive as well. I'm NOT perfect and never will be but I'm grateful to know that I can perfect the things that I lack and that I fall short in each day. This Christmas season I'm really trying to remember true meaning, and it's NOT about the presents, it's about remembering the birth of the Savior and to be with family and friends. This will be the second Christmas being away from my family and the traditions that my family has but it's time to make new ones with my wonderful husband and his family. I'm just so grateful and I hope that you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
3 years on December 21st will mark three years sense I returned home from my mission. Where have the last three years gone? I miss Brazil a lot and this time of the year I really miss it. I just hope in another 10 years that I have not forgotten that year and a half of my life. I often think back to the person that I was 3 years ago, one that was lost, shy, insecure, doubtful, lost and how I have become the person I am today one of hope, love, secure, faithful, responsible, etc I wouldn't trade who I have become for anything. I love my life and I know it took me serving a mission to become the person that I am. It's because of the people I have in my life that I am who I am, and nobody can tell me differently.
WE have so much today in the next 2 days to get ready for St.Louis. Presents to wrap, packing, cleaning the house, work, Wain finishing finals. The next few days will be hectic so if I don't blog til we get back January 4th. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and that we may all enjoy this time of year...
